Peles Castle

He choses Sinaia to build the royal residence. Today the summer residence of the royal family, Peles Castle is considered to be the most beautiful from Europe. It was the first castle with elevator and own heating and warm water system from the north-eastern Europe.Having 65 rooms with different renascentist styles (Swiss, German, English, Spanish, Italian and Austrian), in Peles Castle you can see famous paintings and sculptures. Pelisor Castle
Pelisor Castle was built by the Czech architect Kasel Liman, between 1899-1902 and it was decorated by the Viennese Bernard Ludwig with the purpose of home for the princely family King Ferdinand and Queen Maria. Ferdinand, the grandson of King Carol I and Maria, the daughter of Alfred duke of Edinburgh and the granddaughter of Russian Tsar Alexandru II, will claim the throne in 1914, after the death of Carol I.Queen Maria, also known as the Artist Queen, transformed the Pelisor Castle in a beautiful and attractive princely home. You can feast your eyes with Celtic decorations and zoo-morph byzantine elements, in 1900 style. A beautiful castle, fascinating and interesting, the Peles Castle can offer many attractions and not only.
Bran Castle
Full of legend and contrast the Bran Castle has become famous because of the Dracula movie.Built in 1377, the Bran Castle was donated by the Brasoc community to the Habsburg Empire in order to obtain some trading facilities and lower taxes. Then the castle was donated to the Queen Mary in 1920 to enter into the royal family good graces ( Ferdinand and queen Mary), but also as a token of apreciation for the sacrifice, heroism and involvement of the Queen Mary into the first world war, where next to the romanian army they unite the three romanian kingdoms Transylvania, Moldavia and Valachia having as result the unificated Romania.Has becomed a military strategic point, with the role of protecting and control the commercial route, the movement of the tartar and turkish ground troups, but also for the border between Transylvania and Valachia.With an unique achitectural style and verry impresive, the Bran Castle will charm you at once.
